Nuclear physicists tell us that, according to Quantum Theory, matter (as we think of it) doesn't even exist. They also say that by observing things, we do actually, measurably change the way those things act.

Now, if we can "observe" something and change what happens, I began wondering, why not put this to work? I mean, why let physicists have all the fun?

So I started visualizing (observing) events that I wanted to happen. But I did it in a special way, with a very particular mindset. And gradually, as I gained skill, I started getting results that seemed to confirm that I was influencing events.

From Potential into Reality

Every event, so the theory goes, is only one of countless potential realities. They all exist equally in the quantum realm of potential. Then, we make a choice and bring one of them into actual being. Believe it or not, this wild-sounding babble comes out of the serious study of quantum physics. But the practical application of this theory is, we should be able to "Attract" an event or reality by choosing it.

In any case, I began thinking that maybe, if I concentrated hard enough, possibly I could Attract my choice of events from out of that quantum realm into reality.

Turns out I could. And did... more and more frequently. Furthermore, it wasn't as hard as I'd expected.

Please understand, though. I didn't go out and try to influence the results of a lottery. That'd be running my own wishes in opposition to a huge flow of other people's intensely focused mental energy. That's a low-odds situation, unlikely to produce consistent results.

Instead, I concentrated exclusively on win-win situations. Attracting things that would benefit another person just as much as they would benefit me. For example, I ran a copywriting and editing service. So why not Attract more companies that actively needed the exact services that I could provide? That worked especially well.

Oh, and one more thing I should mention - I never tried to "prove" to anybody that this worked. In fact, for years I held this little secret very close, never telling a soul about what I was doing.

In my own mind I started calling it my Quantum Cash Pump. This pump could bring me cash, of course, but also other things, too, as long as it was a win-win. In fact, I met the love of my life within three days of asking, and a year and a half later, we got married. (We're still very happily married, 22 years later, by the way.)

Steps Were Missing from the Process

My biggest discovery was that during my failure years, I had been leaving out important steps in the Attraction process. It was like trying to bake a cake but forgetting the flour. Or like trying to fly a kite without ever attaching a string to it. Naturally things hadn't worked right.

But as I became increasingly aware of the complete process and how it all went together, things started working more and more consistently. Eventually, my little Quantum Cash Pump became very dependable, even running on semi-automatic most of the timel.

This was years before the movie "The Secret" flashed into the world's awareness, so I had to figure it all out for myself. But in the long run, that worked to my advantage. I probably learned it much more thoroughly because I was discovering it all on my own.

After the first couple of years, I had so internalized the Attraction process that I only had to think, "I need more business," and the phone would start ringing within the hour. It became that automatic for me.

Dumping Old Mental Associations

It's a fact - words get weighed down with more meanings than they need. Sometimes this is good, but other times it's not.

We hear someone say "mother" or "love" and up from the depths of our subconscious come the basic definitions of the word, plus a bunch of emotional associations. With these two words, the associations are positive for virtually everybody. But it's not 100%. A few people have had such negative experiences with these two concepts that those words mean something entirely different for them.

So let's imagine that a person has been using the word "Affirmations" for years, and gradually, over the course of those years, a lot of disappointment, frustration and resentment build up around the word. Even though that person may not realize it, the frustration and disappointment have become an integral part of the word's meaning.

So when they sit down to do yet another round of Affirmations, their mindset will include a high percentage of negativity. Low expectations... even negative feelings... right? It's only natural.

Setting Up a System

So yes, I stopped calling them Affirmations. It made a big difference for me, and you may want to consider doing something similar. That's because it allows us to distance ourselves from old, pent-up frustration.

But more than that, I began going about the Attraction process in a much more logical, methodical way than I'd used before. I began forming a system.

A system is basically just a recipe. It can be as simple as a checklist or as complex as a corporate procedures manual.

Experts often say that the secret of McDonald's success is their systems, their manuals, their training. In other words, they write down every step of every process so that it's rare for anybody to skip a step. Thus, you'll receive a Big Mac that is consistently the same, no matter where on earth you go.

And we're going to switch over to a system, too. Fortunately, we don't need anything as imposing as a McDonald's franchise manual. But we will be organized and methodical, just to make sure we don't leave out important steps in the Attraction process.

Field Tested for 20 Years

Do something for more than 20 years, and you'll either get very good at it, or (if you're doing it all wrong), you'll become incredibly bad at it. As I mentioned, I found a way to do things correctly, so eventually, the process became deeply ingrained into my thinking. All I had to do was semi-consciously think of what I desired, and it would show up, often within minutes.

More contacts, more work, new clients... I'd think it, and it'd come. In fact, everything started working almost automatically. And that's the way Attraction should work if we're doing it right. No straining. No squinting, nor grimacing, nor grinding my teeth. It all just came easier.

But that was me. My question for you is, do the things you're trying to Attract come to you on automatic? If not, then it may be time to consider changing something.

Look around you. Most of the people that you know - are they successful? Have they mastered the art of Attraction? Are they living happy, fulfilling lives? Are they honestly better off now than they were five years ago?
